About the Presentation:
Orlando International Airport (OIA) is one of the fastest growing airports in the world, 11th busiest in the United States and the busiest in the State of Florida. The staff of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority’s Airport Operations Department will be providing an overview and tour of how they move over 46 million customers a year and the systems-of-systems they rely on to make it - for a 2nd year - the J.D. Powers #1 Airport in the mega-airport category for customer satisfaction.
About the Speaker:
Tom Draper, Senior Director of Airport Operations, has been with the Aviation Authority for over 28-years - starting his career as a Firefighter/Paramedic. He now is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Orlando International Airport and the Orlando Executive Airport. His areas of responsibility include the airfield, terminals, parking and ground transportation, baggage handling and ground support equipment, aircraft rescue firefighting, emergency management and sustainability. His career is noted with many accomplishments and achievements in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), Emergency Management, and Airport Operations. All of this is accomplished on a daily basis by receiving the opportunity and guidance from leadership, working alongside a great team, and being a part of an airport community where our purpose is to delight and value each guest with the finest airport experience in the world.
Location:
Orlando International Airport's Carl T. Langford/GOAA Board Room in the Main (North) OIA Terminal.
GOAA‘s Executive Offices are located in Terminal A, Level 3, East (Hyatt/Fountain/SouthWest Airlines) side of the Airport. When approaching the east checkpoint (Gates 70-129), please walk past the Starbucks down the hallway along the side of the security checkpoint. The Executive Offices are located behind the double glass doors at the end of the hallway.
Note: This meeting presentation & tour will be limited to a max of 20-people. However, a reserve list will be maintained to back-fill any cancellations. Priority will be given to INCOSE-Orlando Chapter members RSVPing on a “first-come-first serve” basis.
CAUTION: This event will requiring brisk walking from point to point and going up and down multiple floor levels.
IMPORTANT: Parking will be in the OIA Terminal Parking Garages. You can find parking in both the A and B garages. The Board Room is on the A side.
***DO NOT use your EPass or SunPass (recommend shielding them) to enter the parking garage! Pull a paper ticket – and GOAA will validate it in the Board Room.
