9/11 and the Rebuilding of the Pentagon

Topic: 9/11 and the Rebuilding of the Pentagon
Presenter: Art Hildebrandt

About the presentation:  9/11 and the Rebuilding of the Pentagon
The Pentagon has a rich history separate and apart to being the Department of Defense headquarters.  Authorized by Congress in 1941, the building was used and abused over the next 50 years. A Pentagon Renovation Program began in 1996 to completely restore and renew the building.  September 11, 2001 interrupted the Program but created Operation Phoenix. Phoenix rebuilt the 9/11 damage within one year. We will discuss the Pentagon and Operation Phoenix and a firsthand description of the September 11th attack.
