President Elect and Vice President of Chapter Development – Jerome Forbes, CSEP
Bio: Jerome Forbes is currently a System Assurance Lead for Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. He has over 13 years of electrical and systems engineering experience at Raytheon. His area of experience includes system assurance, architecture, requirements analysis and development, CONOPS, verification and test, FPGA firmware design, production, technical training, radar systems, EOIR systems, digital image processing, system deployment and system security. He has held various other positions at various location during his career such as Architecture Lead, IPT Lead, Technical Lead, Subsystem Architect, Software Requirements SE Lead, Systems Test Engineer, In-Country Engineering Lead, FPGA Firmware Designer, Production Support Engineer, SE Process Engineer and Project Coordinator.
Jerome has served as the North Texas INCOSE chapter Treasurer for two terms (2018 and 2019). He has also been the INCOSE site ambassador for the Raytheon McKinney, TX site since 2017, hosting monthly INCOSE chapter meetings.
He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas, an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 9 certified, and Raytheon Program Management Level 6 certified.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Miles College, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and a 2nd master’s degree in Systems Engineering at Southern Methodist University. He is currently finishing a doctorate in Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University.
