As with Arthur Dent (main character in Hitchhikers guide the Galaxy), a mild-mannered, out to lunch kind of guy sitting in front of a bulldozer trying to protect his house, he is plucked from Earth just before it is demolished to make way for a hyperspace bypass. So, where are we in our “Hitchhiker Guide to the Digital Galaxy?” Today, we, INCOSE, are seeking to understand and embrace the systems engineering collective thinking. While a tantalizing universe outside our INCOSE galaxy needs to be explored—clouds, Integrated Digital Environments, and new crowd source culture.
This presentation travels through a sharply satirical look at the “Digital Campaign”, coming to the conclusion that we are in the beginning of our digital engineering journey. The ultimate answer is “42”. What is the question to the ultimate answer?
